Mohsen Din

Prior to calling to the Bar, Mohsen specialised in reparation work, acting for both pursuers and defenders. He has experience in public inquiries, including involvement in the Vale of Leven Hospital Inquiry and the ICL Inquiry, as well as Fatal Accident Inquiries. He is fluent in Arabic, Punjabi, and Urdu.

Mohsen maintains a wide-ranging practice, including cases involving fatal accidents at work, workplace accidents, industrial related disease claims, road traffic accidents, criminal defence, and counter-fraud matters. He has defended a variety of Animal Scotland Act 1987 related claims. He has also acted in both pursuing and defending property damage, credit hire and medical negligence claims.

Mohsen is a former Procurator Fiscal Depute and brings extensive experience in criminal court practice. He has also served as a Diploma Tutor at the University of Strathclyde.

During his time as a solicitor, Mohsen was accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Personal Injury Law. He also served on several Law Society committees, including the Regulatory Committee, the Professional Conduct Sub-Committee, and the Specialist Personal Injury Law Accreditation Committee.

Mohsen currently serves as a Judicial Panel Member with the Scottish Football Association. In this role, he sits as the legal member of a three-person panel responsible for determining cases involving wrongful dismissal, misconduct, and other alleged breaches of Scottish FA rules.

During devilling, Mohsen gained exposure to complex High Court criminal cases, high-value pursuer and defender reparation claims, and complex commercial matters. He called to the Bar and joined Westwater Advocates in June 2026.
