Westwater Advocates’ David Anderson has successfully represented a tenant in an appeal against a Sheriff Principal’s decision that he could be evicted from his tenancy property.
The case turned on whether the terms of the tenant’s lease had engaged an exception to the regime of Scottish secure tenancies under the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001. The Inner House agreed that they had not.

The respondents were represented by Westwater’s Adrian Stalker.
Adrian, David and some of the stable’s other housing law experts will be speaking at a Housing Law Conference in Glasgow on 3 March 2017, an event organised in conjunction with Legal Services Agency. Further details will follow in the new year.
