“Beyond Equal Sharing” was the title of Janys Scott’s lecture on financial provision on divorce, given at the CLT Family Law Conference on 28 October 2013. The lecture looks at the use and misuse of percentages for unequal division of the net value of matrimonial property, the relationship between different principles for financial provision and gives some practical hints on cases where a spouse is sequestrated.
