Now in its 11th year, Just Dance for Maggie’s 2023 takes place on Saturday 18th November at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow. For the now sold-out event themed on Strictly Come Dancing, 8 individuals have been paired with a professional and will compete this year, not so much for the glory of winning the Glitter Ball, but to raise funds for Maggie’s Centres.
Kirsty Malcolm KC is taking on the challenge with her professional dance partner Kevin Nicoll. She has been fitting training sessions in around her busy work diary, and with only weeks to go is keen to raise more funds for the cause. Donations of any size would be welcomed. Dancing an American Smooth, with ‘death drop’, floor spin and challenging lifts, she has found the experience “both exhilarating and terrifying” and anticipates that “ the nerves will be jangling just as much as if she were appearing before the Inner House.”
