Sir Crispin Agnew QC appointed to the Scottish Government’s Agricultural Holding Review Group

The Scottish Government has announced its plans for a review of agricultural holding legislation.

Westwater Advocate Sir Crispin Agnew of Lochnaw QC has been named as a member of the six-strong Land Review Panel. He is joined by Professor Jeff Maxwell OBE; Barbara Brown, principal clerk of the Scottish Land Court; Iain Mackay, a farmer on Mull; Hamish Lean, partner in the legal firm Stronachs; and Andrew Thin, chair of Scottish Natural Heritage. Rural affairs minister Richard Lochhead will lead the review, which is expected to produce an interim report in June 2014, an update on an absolute right to buy and a final report by December 2014.
