Westwater Advocates are to use the singular breadth and depth of expertise of our members to provide a unique professional development opportunity for the profession. We are presenting a whole day conference with talks on matters of recent interest in seven important areas of practice. There will also be ample question and answer sessions.

The Conference will be chaired by Stable Director Nick Ellis QC and the talks will be by:

Sir Crispin Agnew QC – Agricultural Law

Douglas Fairley, Advocate – Employment Law

Gavin Anderson, Advocate – Health & Safety Prosecutions

The Conference is free of charge and open to solicitors. Lunch and coffee will be provided. The Conference will qualify for 5 hours Faculty of Advocates CPD and will offer the opportunity to obtain 5 hours CPD under the Law Society of Scotland guidelines.

It will take place at the MacKenzie Building, Old Assembly Close, High Street, Edinburgh on Monday, 23 February 2009. Registration will commence at 9.15am and the day will finish at about 3.45pm Limited places are available and can be reserved on a first come first served basis.
