Westwater Advocates’ Bryan Heaney has been elected by his fellow members of Faculty to serve on the Faculty Council. Bryan, who has been an advocate since 1999, was elected for the constituency of junior counsel of more than six years call.
The election was remarkable for being the Faculty’s first electronic poll. The technology worked without a hitch and it is being suggested that it will be used for the upcoming election for Dean of Faculty.
The Faculty Council exists to formulate and implement policy for the development of the Faculty. Bryan said: “I am honoured to have been elected by my fellow members of Faculty. I look forward to helping the Faculty face the challenges, and take the opportunities, that lie ahead.”
